Ready for a ride with the illest emcees of Detroit?
The song ‘ Nobody’s Iller Than Me ‘ featuring Detroit underground emcee Fuzz will allow you to step into the emcees illlest world. Bizarre Kid begins the song with obvious references -you guessed it right- to the 313. People who know the D12 group well know about their ill and offensive rhymes that will knock out more than one opponent. They will make their rival rappers look lyrically weak and sugarcoated, that’s why we can take Swifty’s warning seriously:
‘ I make rappers wanna turn into singers”
Battling the D12 crew means battling a ‘ crew genius ‘, no doubt they will leave you wounded:
‘ Bring this competition and face this meanin’
Got your whole crew doing subpeonas
Hell nah you ain’t seen a crew genius
Murder whoever’s between us, pack your heaters
Keep it close, you can’t beat us
While your whole crew treat us like G’s, you best believe this
I done made quadrapalegics outta these non-rappin rejects
While the whole world ejects your tape, it ain’t no secret
That your shit sounds fake, you can’t stop it my mind state
Makes it too late for cops in tryin’ to stop the crime rate’ ‘
D12’s sense of realness have beaten up many other rappers’ fakeness. D12’s world represents the reality of the Detroit ghetto and it will single out anybody who fakes himself in his raps.
Follow Bizarre in his world of insanity ans enjoy his sick rhymes:
‘ Me and Eminem and Mike
Drivin’ down Van Dyke
Get my dick sucked late at night by a fuckin’ transvestite
Still on probation for stranglin’ my boy Jason
Should be takin’ my medication, it’s 9 to 10 I’m facin’
Last week this old man I had to blast
Cuz he tried to help me out when my car was out of gas
Ripped this old lady, hung her neck by a hook
Didn’t realize it was my grandmother ’til I checked her pocketbook
Fuckin’ with the white boys got me back on crack
Better explain where the hell your TVs and VCRs is at
I done lost 100 pounds, I ain’t been eatin’ like I should
This wounded dog in the street is sure lookin’ good! ‘
Slim Shady, the big substance user and abuser is here to piss you off, ready to take girls away from their boyfriends:
‘ Nobody better test me, cuz I don’t wanna get messy
Especially when I step inside this bitch, dick freshly
New Lugz, give the crew hugs, guzzle two mugs
Before I do drugs that make me throw up like flu bugs
True thugs, rugged unshaven messy scrubs
Whippin’ 40-bottles like the fuckin’ Pepsi clubs
Down a fifth, crack open a six
I’m on my seventh 8-ball, now I gotta take a piss
I’m hollerin’ at these hoes that got boyfriends
Who gives a fuck who they was
I’m always takin’ someone else’s girl like Cool J does’ ‘
Emcee Fuzz’ ill part won’t leave you indifferent either. If Fuzz used to be a member of D12, we may ask: what happened to him in the meantime?
Did he change his musical style in the meantime? I haven’t found a satisfactory answer for the moment.
‘ No One’s Iller than Me ‘ will make you appreciate four different and complementary talents: Bizarre, Swifty, Eminem and Fuzz combined are an ill and gifted team that fully represents the Detroit ghetto.Lyrics
[Bizarre]
Yeah…ha ha ha (BANG!), Yeah, Bizarre Kid comin’ at you
Eminem and Fuzz, and Mr. Swifty, ha ha
No one’s iller than me (wha?)
No one, no one is iller than me
No one is iller than me
It’s Mr. Swifty from the 313…
[Swift]
I make rappers wanna turn into singers
I keep hoes lickin’ they fingers
Bring this competition and face this meanin’
Got your whole crew doing subpeonas
Hell nah you ain’t seen a crew genius
Murder whoever’s between us, pack your heaters
Keep it close, you can’t beat us
While your whole crew treat us like G’s, you best believe this

While the whole world ejects your tape, it ain’t no secret
That your shit sounds fake, you can’t stop it my mind state
Makes it too late for cops in tryin’ to stop the crime rate
I’m like Two-Face, I’m painful to rappers then you can tell
From these shells, how I gotta bend ’em like route canals
I erase all trails, somethin’ farther from gettin’ bail
Makes you wanna kill an emcee yourself, you might as well
Be within a 25 to life sentence, on linkin’ trials
Horrified, and keep on frontin’, repentin’ and lose they bowels
Everything is foul when Swift’s around, vacate now
Niggas dumb enough to try to front and escape, how?
I’m gonna take this ‘gnac and drink it straight wild
Niggas steady fallin’ in my face like milk crates, BLAAAOW!
It’s Swifty from the 313
Like I said no one is iller than me, unnhh!
[Bizarre]
Me and Eminem and Mike

I done lost 100 pounds, I ain’t been eatin’ like I should
This wounded dog in the street is sure lookin’ good!
Rob this little boy in his fuckin’ paper route
Throwin’ bottles at day care centers and yell “EVERYBODY GET OUT”!
My girl beat my ass and shot me in the back with a 2-piece
Cuz she found out I was havin’ an affair with her 10-year old niece
No one, no one’s iller than me
It’s Bizarre Kid straight from the 313
No one, no one is iller than me
It’s Bizarre Kid straight from the 313
[Eminem]
Nobody better test me, cuz I don’t wanna get messy
Especially when I step inside this bitch, dick freshly

I’m on my seventh 8-ball, now I gotta take a piss
I’m hollerin’ at these hoes that got boyfriends
Who gives a fuck who they was
I’m always takin’ someone else’s girl like Cool J does
They probably don’t be packin’ anyways, do they Fuzz?
We walked up, stomped they asses and blew they buzz
Mics get sandblasted
Stab your abdomen with a hand crafted pocketknife and spill your antacid
Sprayed your motherfuckin’ crib up when I ran past it
Fuckin’ felon, headed to hell in a handbasket
Talkin’ shit will get you, your girl and your man blasted
Kidnapped and slapped in a van wrapped in Saran plastic
Get your damn ass kicked, by these fantastic
Furious four motherfuckers
Flashin’ in front of your face without the Grand Masters
Slim Shady, ain’t nobody iller than me
[Fuzz]
I run shit like an ass with legs
Massive lead to leave your cabbage red
Similar to your ass in a casket dead
Drastic spread of acid heads
Come to abort you like a bastard egg
That trash you said got you standin’ on plastic legs
Ask the feds from past the edge
Rockin’ the most classic threads
Flashin’ bread, roll down the window
Bitch you got some fantastic legs, you can get ’til that ass get red
You can get ’til that ass get red
Bizarre you get him and him, Swift you get him and him
I’ll get him and him, leave the other two for my nigga Eminem
Never writer’s block, I block writers
My block’s tighter, ante up and get your top fighters
Got fired for jumpin’ the counter with a mop stick
Some bitch ran up screamin’ GET THE COPS QUICK!
And got drop kicked, now she screamin’ “Stop it…”
Got clips to stop shit, rock shit and grab this hot shit
Wherever you shop bitch, Fuzz Scooter ’97 crop pick
Sick a-ya’ll niggaz lookin’ at me like I got tits
I shoot a rocket through your optic
You niggaz still don’t know the top pick?
I got bricks, lose my foot in your ass
And have you shittin’ socks bitch!
We rock shit, leave your fuckin’ knot split
Grab the green from Al by showin’ him hot grits
(No one…)
Ain’t nobody iller than me

No one, no one is iller than me
It’s Fuzz and Buzz-arre from the 313
You have now witnessed 4 ill emcees!
From the home of potholes and trash
We’ll lyrically blast…

D12 Art Of War
D12’s ‘ Art Of War ‘ from the D12 underground EP will introduce you into the atmosphere of rap battles. The D12 soldiers will teach you the ‘ art of war ‘ and show you how to handle words.
The D12 crew is determined to show you some original work and much more different from what you may usually hear in the world of rap.
Proof has something different to offer to hip hop lovers:
‘ Tired of niggas rapping the same
Talking the same, ya, hah
Living in the same place
What style is Proof gonna do this time? ‘Ready to spit his full venom, Mc BigProof will rip his enemies off:
‘ By the age of aquarius
My mind state was gugarious
Various opponents whose stature was hilarious
Like you’ ‘
Proof doesn’t fight all alone. His fellows are ready to murder you lyrically. He is followed by Bizarre and Kuniva who will scare you, because they will act dangerously. Kuniva’s rhymes will leave you speechless:
‘ No matter what the problem
Revolvers can solve ’em
Keep a nigga breathless
The tech whips regardless
Heartless
Walking you punks right to the edge of darkness’ ‘
Kon Artis is the next menace you should take into account:
‘ Highly dangerous
Spraining my wrist
Lickin’ off this black tech
With my eyes flossed bitch
Look up the Art of War
In the ghetto dictionary’ ‘‘
The Art Of War ‘ also gives you the opportunity to fully appreciate Bugz’ talent. He’s ready to murder his opponents. Of course, lyrically:
‘ Bugz’ll murder you
In less than a word or two
Bring the art of war to your door’ ‘Bugz concludes the well written D12 song.
There is no Slim Shady featured in the song. Only Proof’s allusion reminds us of the now full part D12 member:
‘ Next to Slim
I’m Shady as a Tetris win’ ‘
‘ The Art Of War ‘ enlightens D12’s lyrical offensiveness. It is a real pleasure for the ears of gangsta rap lovers.Lyrics
[Proof]
Tired of niggas rapping the same
Talking the same, ya, hah
Living in the same place
What style is Proof gonna do this time?
Ya really wanna know, huh?
What is he gonna do?
You got niggas who said,
“I’m out, I’m out the door this year”
Fuck, all them niggas
Fuck *Einstein*
Nigga said me and Bizarre hate each other
Fuck you
Fuck Low Key
Fuck that nigga
Talking ’bout he battled me and beat me
Fuck you
And when I see you on the streets
I’m in your grill
Ya know what I’m saying?
Listen
By the age of aquarius
My mind state was gugarious
Various opponents whose stature was hilarious
Like you
Throwing fairy dust
Then frowning hard on whack chorus
Proof was on the scene before Nat Morris
Cold as a black forest in these starving streets
A garbage heap that was brought
Stars could eat
The nerve of haters
Diss us perging gators
So I spit venom at you through your serve in vegas
The primitive fool again
None can match that
Blast at your rib cage
Making your spine hatch back
You lack fat tactics
And thoughts of Dexatrim
Whippin’ my dick out on nuns
If they say sex is sin
Next to Slim
I’m Shady as a Tetris win
Dirty Dozen solo are respected men
Get known for craft
Irritate me like infected skin
The future ain’t lookin’ the same
Like a neglected twin
Some test the scary
That’s unnecessary
To kill your crew, family, your friends
Your tech can carry
Knock your paws off sync
Left you flat like a soft drink
Got more styles than Diana Ross swing
Zone like Rick James when he smoke crack
You and Charli Baltimore
Got something in common
Y’all both whack
Proof the king P-I-N
If I ain’t the best this year
The motherfucker be my twin
[Bizarre]
Who’s the bitch ass nigga
That’s mentioning my name?
No one to blame
I just cock back your name
None of y’all bitch ass niggas wanna test
Cuz five minutes or less
I’ll be at your assets
You’re just a bitch
And I wanna test you
And the niggas you was with
They already left you
So duck down cuz Bizarre Kid’s comin’ here
Shootin’ at you and your peers
And cousins you ain’t seen in years
Hope you believe in God
Cuz nigga you better pray
Pull your kids from the window
And duck from this AK
And already done called the Proof and Denaun
And even if I want to
I can’t change my nigga’s lines
Cuz you on the shit list
These bullets are relentless
And ain’t no way in hell that you avoidin’ this
Ain’t no apologies
Yo I see your number on my caller ID
Bitch, stop callin’ me
Fuck the truce
Nigga I pull the deuce deuce
And my niggas go wild
Like a bunch of rats that got loose
I’m comin’ for you nigga
So hide behind your door
Cuz all my niggas believe in the Art Of War
Chorus (x4)
What you startin’ for?
Is you on for war?
Trife assassins
Bringing you the art of war
[Kuniva]
Straight wylin’
Burying bodies right on top of each other
So when somebody ask
I just say you under the weather (Killer Eel)
No matter what the problem
Revolvers can solve ’em
Keep a nigga breathless
The tech whips regardless
Heartless
Walking you punks right to the edge of darkness
We’re way beyond that
When I pull me out a cartridge
I bank shots
Wettin’ up your white tank top
While my nigga Bugz is stickin’ up
Your nearest gang spot
Just another scarred liar retired
We make niggas pass out like fliers
Flossin’ my teeth with barbed wire
Leavin’ a bloody mess
Then harass kids
And buy ’em a candy bar
So they can tell me where you live
[Kon Artist]
Highly dangerous
Spraining my wrist
Lickin’ off this black tech
With my eyes flossed bitch
Look up the Art of War
In the ghetto dictionary
And see Bizarre holding your kids
Hostage for their Crunch Berries
My pump stay hot
Coat stomachs like Malox
Run away spots
Setting it off with the guns that Dre got
Ghetto s’ance
But ass backwards
Fuck bringing you back to life
Nigga we putting you in your caskets
Running off with the mop like you got somethin’
But in my mind I’m thinking
Blast soon as I spot somethin’
And when you fall
I know damn well I done shot somethin’
And I’m cleaning your brains
Off my windshield for frontin’
D-12 is
Your local weed sellers
Throwing pipe bombs in your church
To kill your elders
The men on bitches like tracks
You notice these
Banging clits and ovaries
Till they drop the sheets
Niggas’ll die from these
Blows we inflict
You supposed to be in some shit
Cuz you the underdog bitch
Chorus (x2)
[Bugz]
Bugz’ll murder you
In less than a word or two
Bring the art of war to your door
Call me Sonny Zoo
Nigga don’t be mad cuz your broad is a trick
Always dialing 976-need-a-dick (bitch)
Niggas like you
I’m known to smack, stab, and spit on
Kick at, hit on, you hear me bitch? It’s still on
Calling through my crib
Like your bout it with your shouts
Ain’t you the same nigga
Who was crying on his couch
Apologize on site boy
If you like your life boy
(Yo Bugz, leave that nigga alone
You know he just a white boy)
Fuck that
I smack him off the wheels
And take his bleel
Or bought a royal mope
And destroy him with my steal
You pussy ass
How you figure it will linger
Take your bitch on Jenny Jones
Then beat your ass on Jerry Springer
Don’t fuck with it
Or get your head split and mouth bruised
That’s a promise
Fuck *Hal Shoes*
Chorus ’till fade
Will British TV let Eminem be Eminem?
In ‘ Without Me ‘, Eminem claims:
‘ So the FCC wont let me be or let me be me ‘ ‘
It seems like Eminem is now too shocking for the average British viewer:
http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2004/07/2808.cfm
What a big joke!
Some BBC viewers have described Eminem as ‘ lewd ‘ and ‘ offensive ‘ at his recent performance on April the 9th.
I just wished people didn’t push hypocrisy that far. Anybody who has watched Eminem on TV or listened to him in his interviews knows that Marshall Mathers’ provocative side is part of his personality.
So if you don’t like the way he is and if you know that he might offend you through his attitude or his lyrics, why do you turn on your TV when he is supposed to show up?
Lewd? Haha’You must have given Eminem a good laugh!
Obscene language is part of hip hop culture.
His lyrics are filled with obscene language. Eminem’s songs are played since 1999 everywhere on the planet, and in 2004 some narrow minded British citizens decide that he is too ‘ lewd ‘ during his performance.
Oh right, he has been warning you all the time in ‘ Without Me ‘:
‘ So this must mean I’m disgusting, but its just me I’m just obscene’ ‘
Eminem’s political ‘ incorrectness ‘ has also been reproached to him and according to a corporate spokesman, “The performer had been asked to tone his act down after rehearsal but ignored this request during the live broadcast” .
What else do you expect from a politically engaged rapper?
Do you want him to act like some sugarcoated Black Eyed Peas member?
Slim Shady has already given a response to his detractors in his song:
‘ I’m like a head trip to listen to, cause I’m only givin you
things you joke about with your friends inside your living room
The only difference is I got the balls to say it
in front of y’all and I don’t gotta be false or sugarcoated at all
I just get on the mic and spit it
and whether you like to admit it [*ERR*] I just shit it
better than ninety percent of you rappers out can’ ‘
One reason why I deeply admire Eminem is because he has the balls to say what he wants to express, whether you like it or not. He doesn’t care. He will say it anyway. He has offended you? He doesn’t give a fuck.
I wish people could fully accept Eminem the way he is. His fans particularly appreciate him for being himself.
We don’t want a sugarcoated and hypocritical Eminem. We like his offensiveness and we don’t want him to change just to please a few old fashioned persons.
My advice to those conservative, narrow minded and old fashioned people :
‘ If you don’t like Marshall Mathers, don’t waste your precious time watching him.
But let Eminem be Eminem, for Godness sake. ‘
He’s not the icon for misogyny
An article that was recently published in the ‘Guardian’ attracted my attention. Gary Taylor, the author of the article is trying to find similarities between Hamlet and Eminem. He also intends to explain what he calls ‘ the Eminem generation ‘:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/arts/features/story/0,11710,1269049,00.html
Bridging Eminem with Hamlet?
Finding similarities between Shakespeare’s character, Hamlet, and Eminem would have sounded ok to me, as long as Gary Taylor would have talked about stage characters, not about a real person.
But Gary’s non hidden intention was to prove that Marshall Mathers is a perfect asshole and a big woman hater. His conclusion: because he strongly hates them, woman love him so much. A too rapid conclusion, as far as I am concerned.
First, I strongly disagree with the way Marshall Mathers is portrayed. The author of the article even uses physical similarities between Shakespeare’s Hamlet and Eminem to demonstrate his theory. Which I find despicable.
Hamlet, Shakespeare’s character is short. So is Eminem. So what?
Gary Taylor should make a difference between Eminem’s stage character and the real Marshall Mathers.
People who are close to Marshall describe him as a real nice and even shy person. I think that Eminem is so right when he claims:
‘ They portrayed me as a vicious, vile, evil person. But I wouldn’t have got anywhere in this business if I was just a complete asshole. ‘
The same journalist also pictures Eminem in such a negative light: people who don’t know anything about the talented rapper could easily believe that he is the main responsible for misogyny in this world. Rap music lyrics do have a misogynistic content: it’s a matter of fact. Eminem’s texts aren’t more misogynistic than Ice Cube’s.
But, moreover, Eminem’s lyrics need to be understood as a parody of domestic violence. People have shouted ‘ kill Kim! ‘ on stage? It was only for the show’
During his concert in Paris, Eminem has also invited us to chant : ‘ fuck you Debbie Debbie! ‘. I have done it too. When Eminem invited us to do so, I perfectly understood that it was his way to work out his problems with his mom.
Even fans need to understand there is a huge difference between the reality of a show and our every day reality. I mean, I would never dare insulting Debbie Mathers in real life if I happened to meet her. Why? Because she remains Eminem’s mom and because Eminem’s problems with her belong to his private sphere.
Gary Taylor also pictures Eminem as ‘ a role-playing, violent comedian, who viciously verbally abuses the two adult women in his life, his middle-aged mother and his first love, Kim. ‘
It is a matter of fact Eminem has written some harsh lyrics against Kim and Debbie.
It would be wize to analyze both women’s behavior towards Eminem:
– Debbie was an abusive, drug addicted, sick and dominative mom who barely gave love to her son.
– Kim is Marshall’s first love since High School. Marshall has always been sincere with Kim.
Marshall might have killed her in two songs, but the person who has been manipulative and dominative in their couple is Kim. She is the one who has betrayed her ex husband.
Kim isn’t Marshall’s victim in real life.
Knowing precise facts about Eminem, it sounds ridiculous to picture him as the new symbol for misogyny.
Brittany Murphy describes him as a very decent person. If he was a misogynistic monster in real life, I don’t think that Kim would have been back with him several times since their divorce.
Some female fans may be attracted by Eminem’s looks, but many of them are able to appreciate his great talent, his rhyming ability and his personality.
I’m a female, an adult fan and a graduate who fully appreciates the artistry of Eminem and who doesn’t take him for a ‘ violent misogynist ‘ in real life.
Eminem is one of the most talked about rappers, but he remains the most misunderstood. It is high time people realized Marshall Mathers is not the evil monster some media are trying to picture.
D12 underground EP review
The D12 underground EP was released in 1997. The 10 track CD is Bugz’ first appearence on a CD.It will make you appreciate D12’s deceased member’s huge talent.
True D12 and hip hop lovers will appreciate the particular Detroit ghetto taste of D12’s underground EP.
The tape is also interesting for enlightening the D12’s individual talent. The sound of a bass is the background will give you a precise idea of the dark athmosphere of the Detroit streets.
The first track, “6 Reasons”, is an invitation not to mess with the Runyan Ave soldiers you already know. It also introduces you in their sick world of weapons, drugs and alcohol. The song is fullfilled with humor and you will probably enjoy sentences like these:
“I make hardcore groups like Wu Tang
Look like the Village People (fags)”
Don’t be amazed: Eminem is not named in the EP as a full part member, he only features some songs. In fact, Eminem became the sixth member of D12 at Bugz’ death. The group was facing a terrible loss (also artistically) and needed a creative new member. That’s how Slim Shady became an official D12 member.
The second song, Art Of War, is offensive and sarcastic as well. The D12 members want to show up with a brand bew and original rapping style, as it is summarized by the following sentence:
“Tired of niggas rapping the same
Talking the same, ya, hah
Living in the same place
What style is Proof gonna do this time?”
The D12 street soldiers will kill you verbally: the war on the mic has just begun. For those who ever doubted the D12 members individual talents, go listen to their underground EP. It will convice you of their genuine value as great gangsta rappers.
An aggressive Kon Artis will totally scare you in “Derelict Theme”. Don’t worry, it’s only for the show:
“I damage your neck
With the butt of the tech
Vandalous sex
Cuttin’ you ear to ear
With the razor of my Gillette
You couldn’t get respect
If you was a captain or a cadet
Granddaddy, daddy, or uncle who’s a Vietnam vet
I’ll battle you 50 deep
Solo artist shocker dead beat
Derelicts on the loose
Wylin’ like thugs outta prison with slugs
While y’all start screaming…”
“Chance To Advance” is a collaboration with Eye Kyu that also features Eminem. The best part of the song is certainly Bizarre’s part. You will recognize the ill rhymer you already know:
“By any means necessary I’m on a killing spree
It’s the devil in me, intoxicated with brown Hennessy
Beware life ain’t fair and I don’t care
Cher braids my hair while her kids are in day-care
Two blunts and I’m out for lunch
Your whore said I’m here “Sugar pie, honey bunch”
This Bizarre kid, that ain’t the answer
You’re more uncomfortable than an anorexic cat with fucking cancer…”
If you’re fond of the typical Dirty Dozen sound and sense of humor, you probably gonna enjoy “Activity as Phuctivity”. It goes with the motto “Fuck everybody”.
“Filthy” will make you appreciate a younger Eminem with incisive skills. “Cock and Squeeze” will also make you enjoy Bugz who introduces the song:
“Gimme some hash
and when i trip nigga gimme ya mask
then after that lend me your mack and gimme your cash
that precious thing you call a life ill put an end to fast
get in your ass if you want have to leave and eagle mack (??)
you want a see-through class
dont take much to read you class
bitch
you broke as fuck and on the bus cuz your Regal smashed
this shit is lethal _
battle me i keep you mad
put you in a sleeper ,drag your ass to the reaper’s pad
either _
or feel the wrath of my heater that
lyric punches makin meters blast on your speaker rack
crib, club or anywhere where theres people at
they love my tape they couldnt care where they leaves yours at
your girl’s a rat

who heater fat (??)
i bet your gal aint fuckin with my gat
im holdin lyrics sendin vocals at you locals cat

your more whack
than a gold sack
you shown dat
when you flowed
that’s a known fact
clone rap
suck a MC broad
need to pick another field, go out and find you a job
or either go out and rob
because
rappin’ aint to function
you out of place,
like a 2 of heart and 2 of diamond in a game of spades
while my innovative ways
set your lyrics to a blaze
put a grimace on ur grave
im in the Guiness on a page
of history
puttin sucka niggaz out they misery
its not a mystery
my victories are bodacious
it wouldn’t matter if the judge is racist
and i was battling your aces in your bitches bassment
im un-fuckwitible
thats literal
face it, the general
with senses of a senitle
holdin on my genitals
right before i send tha fo’s (fools)
down the earth like minerals
even after centerfolds
in videos, my ego goes
in cagnito hoes
from mosquito rolls
mean and biter
i hope you niggaz catch a case of arthrita
you aint no writer
it still dont even have a spider
Idea when you need me , we gonna worst turn into fighters
yea yea bitch
ya muthaphukkin biter
Cock And, Squeeze, Bust
Dirty Dozen dont fuck wit us
Detroit niggaz roll deep
hold heat and talk slick
yea yea bitch
stay off my dick…”
Bugz’ style is original and mixed up with ill wordplays. He was gifted and well weaponed as a battle MC.
The D12 underground EP will give you a better idea of the D12 crew’s beginning work which is genuine gangsta and definitly good quality work. You will be able to listen to it on the following website:
http://www.stimulate-ltd.com/
Low, Down, Dirty
Listening to ‘Low, Down, Dirty’ from the Slim Shady EP will invite you into a restricted and dangerous area.
Slim Shady is coming to haunt Eminem and he invites you in his crazy world:
“I had this whole Slim Shady concept of being two different people, having two different sides of me. One of them I was trying to let go, and I looked at the mirror and smashed it. That was the whole intro of the Slim Shady EP. Slim Shady was coming to haunt me'” ‘
A crazy world of personality split: the shady world of Eminem’s alter ego.
You will enjoy Eminem and Redman’s talents combined.
In fact, the second track of the Slim shady EP pictures Slim Shady’s introduction to the world.
Eminem asks the sarcastic question in the first verse:
“How in the fuck can Eminem and Shady be related?”
Eminem fans already know the answer: Slim Shady is Eminem’s sick side, he is just some evil and sick character who represents Eminem’s forbidden thoughts.
That’s also why Eminem fans will rarely be chocked by Slim Shady’s statements.
Of course, Slim Shady’s ill character has managed to piss off many persons who would take his statements seriously. Fiction and reality come close to each other, but the listener will understand easily that coming into Slim Shady’s world is like watching a science fiction movie. You will enjoy the ‘Illiterate, illigitimate shit spitter…’.
You may ask: ‘Why the hell does Slim Shady go on speaking about Margot Kidder?’
Remember that Slim Shady’s world is all about madness. Margot Kidder is not only mentioned because she has played in The Amityville Horror, but also because she suffered from paranoia and at this time, she had created her own mental world. You will learn more about the actress on the following website:

I might be wrong, but the personality split Eminem talks about has not only to do with Eminem and Slim Shady, but it also seems to represent a young white man who wishes he was Black, trying to imitate his favorite rappers like Dr Dre. Marshall never denied the fact that he is white.
But when he suddenly looks at himself in the mirror, wearing some black glasses and sinking his lips he becomes Ice Cube from NWA. He becomes a black man for several minutes, because he impersonates his favorite hero:
‘”When I was 9 years old, my uncle put me on to the Breakin’ soundtrack. The first rap song I ever heard was Ice-T, ‘Reckless.’ From L.L. to the Fat Boys, and all that shit, I was fascinated. When L.L. first came out with ‘I’m Bad’, I wanted to do it, to rhyme. Standing in front of the mirror, I wanted to be like L.L.’
You will also enjoy Redman’s lines that are fullfilled with vicious allusions to drugs and to sex:
‘Fuck it, maybe I’m a bum
But I was put on this earth to make your baby mama cum
So what I’m on is way beyond the bomb or any alcoholic beverage
Losing all of my leverage
Went up inside the First National Bank broke, and left rich
Walking bio-hazard causing wreckage
Smoked out like ?
Band just making my neck itch
What the fuck? Gimme the tech bitch
You just lost your tip, there’s a pubic hair in my breakfast
Got shit popping off like bottle cap tips
Get your cap peeled like the dead skin of your mama’s chapped lips
Slap hips, support domestic violence
Beat your bitches ass while your kids stare in silence
I’m just joking, is Dirty Dozen’s really dust smoking?
If all your shit’s missing, than probably one of us broke in…’
In the third verse, Slim Shady starts some wordplays and introduces you his well known world of drugs and medication:
“Slim Shady, his tape is dope, I love it
It’s rugged, but he needs to quit talking all that drug shit.”
It was predicted by a medic
I’d grow to be an addicted diabetic
Living off liquid Triametic
Pathetic, but I don’t think this headache’s ever vanishing
Panicing, I think I might have just took too much Anasin…’‘
Low, Down, Dirty’ is an interesting song that fully distinguishes between Eminem and Slim Shady. For those who doubted it, it makes a clear difference between Eminem and his sick character, Slim Shady: Slim Shady is to Eminem what Mr Hyde is to Dr Jekyll.
It’s a pleasure to travel through the sick mind of Slim Shady who will never stop haunting Eminem and who will make you enjoy his clever wordplays.
Lyrics to the song
Warning, this shit’s gon be rated R, restricted
You see this bullet hole in my neck? It’s self inflicted
Doctor slapped my momma, “Bitch you got a sick kid”
Arrested, molested myself and got convicted
Wearing visors, sunglasses and disguises
Cause my split personality is having an identity crisis
I’m Dr. Hyde and Mr. Jekyll
Disrespectful
Hearing voices in my head while these whispers echo
“Murder Murder Redrum”
Brain size of a bread crumb
Which drug will I end up dead from
Inebriated, till my stress is eleviated
“How in the fuck can Eminem and shady be related?”
Illiterate, illigitimate shit spitter
Bitch getter, hid in the bush like Margot Kidder
Jumped out (Ahhhh!) killed the bitch and did her
Use to let the babysitter suck my dick when I was little’er
Smoke a blunt while I’m titty fuckin Bette Midler
Sniper, waiting on your roof like the Fiddler
Y’all thought I was gonna rhyme with Riddler
Didn’t Ya? Bring your bitch I wanna see if this dick gon’ fit in her
(Redman Sample)
I’m low down and I’m shiftee
And if you hear a man that sounds like me smack’em
And ask him where the fuck did he get his damn raps from
(repeat)
I lace tunes, I’m out this world like Space Moons
With a bunch crazed loons dismissin brains like braze wounds
Nothing but idiots and misfits, dipshits
Doing whippits, passed out like Sanford snippits
Where’s the weed, I wanna tamper with it
I’ma let your grandpa hit it
Mix it up with cocaine so her can’t forget it
Fuck it, maybe I’m a bum
If all your shit’s missing, than probably one of us broke in
Chorus
My head’s ringing, like it was Spider Sense tingling
Lit it like Green Bay did when they shitted on New England
I’m out the game, put the second string in
This Brandy got my swinging
Bobbing back and forth like a penguin
Delinquent, toking microphones with Broken English
Make your mama be like “Ohh! This is good! Who sing this?”
“Slim Shady, his tape is dope, I love it
It’s rugged, but he needs to quit talking all that drug shit.”
It was predicted by a medic
I’d grow to be an addicted diabetic
Living off liquid Triametic
Pathetic, but I don’t think this headache’s ever vanishing
Panicing, I think I might have just took too much Anasin
Frozen Manaquin, posted stiffer than a statue
I think I’m dying, God is that you?
Somebody help me, before I OD on an LP
Take me to ER ASAP for and IV
Motherfuck JOP, they don’t support no hip hop
They say that’s where it ends, the closest they gon come is Tupac
It’s politics, it’s all a fix
Setup by these white blue collared hicks
Just to make a dollar off of black music
With a subliminal ball of tricks
But those can kiss ass and swallow dicks
Chorus
Who the fuck is DJ Babe?
DJ Babe is known for his collaboration with Eminem. Hip hop lovers have probably heard about the 7 Mile Road mixtape volume 7 that includes collaborations with Eminem, Obie Trice , Proof and Method Man. You will be able to listen to some tracks on the following website:
http://www.rensoul.com/jaydee/index1.html
But do you know why DJ Babe gets called DJ ‘Babe’?
‘Babe was given to me by my grandmother. I was born on Jan. 1st, new Years Day as in BABY New Year. My original nickname was Baby, when I became a teen, my family just started calling me Babe, although a few of the older Aunts still call me Baby. I tried several DJ names, but everywhere I went, people kept calling me Babe, so it just stuck.’
(DJ Babe)
You may not know it, but besides Eminem, DJ Babe has collaborated with many artists of the Detroit local scene like Miz Corona, Obie Trice, Proof, Mr Wrong and many more:
‘I’ve worked with a gang of people in Detroit, that’s what makes my mixtapes so popular, if you are hot in Detroit, most likely you’ve been on my CDs. I’ve worked with The Fat Killahz, Miz Korona, Obie Trice, Raw
Collection, Big Herk, Proof, Ill Uno, Cash Kola, Anomaly, and damn near 100 more people! My man Cobb, who does tracks for a gang of MCs as well worked with me on several CDs too.’
If you have the curiosity to listen to DJ Babe’s mixtapes, you will enjoy the quality of the Detroit artist who will make you enjoy the 313 sound.
The Detroit local hip hop scene is composed of the hottest artists and it deserves more recognition. That’s why it is a valuable experience to focus an interest not only on Detroit mainstream artists, but also on the boiling Detroit underground scene that won’t leave you indifferent: it is full of talented rappers who deserve to be known better. That’s also DJ Babe’s opinion:
‘Detroit has always gotten props for its music, its Motown! We slacked off bad for awhile, but peeps gotta know that Detroit continued to produce R&B stars. Anita Baker, Aaliyah, Brownstone, to producers Tim & Bob (countless R&B joints), Mike Powell (Anita, Aretha, SWV), Mario Winans, and the new guys Kem & Dwele. Eminem definitely set the wheels rolling again, along with Kid Rock and Insane Clown Posse, but then when we were known as the home of white boy rap. Slum Village has a huge following, then there’s the huge underground following of Phat Kat, Natas and Esham. My mans Obie Trice is next up to bat and Denaun from D12 has been producing tracks for the likes of Busta Rhymes, Xzibit, Dr. Dre, Rakim and a few others. But we have some hot guys coming out, The Fat Killahz have a huge buzz in the streets, King Gordy – who happens to be a Fat Killa as well, Street Lordz and Chedda Boyz sell about 15-20,000 here alone. Rock Bottom sells well, their last release did about 10,000. The previous about 25,000 copies. Jay Dee has his thing poppin, and a guy from his camp Wajeed, has the Bling47 crew coming. My manz Lacks is selling like madd overseas, through Groove Attack Records. So, Detroit is definitley poppin. Oh yea, can’t forget about my man Royce Da 5’9, Trick Trick – notorious for whooping Trick Daddy’s ass, Drunken Master formely of FUBU Records and Vishiss, coming out on Dreamworks Records.’
DJ Babe is very much appreciated for his turntable work and he earned along with other local DJ’s like DJ Househoes a nomination at the annual Detroit Music Awards in April 2004.
What does DJ Babe intend to improve in the Detroit local scene? Certainly the mixtape scene:
‘I want Detroit to have a real mixtapepresence. The mixtape scene sucks here, the consumer doesn’t know what a real mixtape is, if you don’t play the whole record, they get mad, if they never heard of the artist, they don’t wanna buy it. All they want is the bootlegs, the compilations, and then say they have the latest mixtapes, that’s not a mixtape – its a compilation! Retailers are just as backwards. They don’t give mixtapes the props due when the shit can actually sell better than commercial releases especially at a time when the industry sucks. So my mission is to establish that here, establish my company, Illegal Entertainment, hell mixtapes are illegal in the eyes of the RIAA, so fuck it – Illegal Entertainment. I can’t get any plainer than that. Also to establish myself deeper in the industry. It’s hard when you are not full time on the radio, having the call letters behind you, labels tend to sit on their asses longer, but I have to keep the grind on.’
DJ Babe’s work give us a idea of Detroit artists’ various and rich collaborations. Be that curious and have a look!
“Murder Murder”
‘Murder Murder’ is a well written track from the Slim Shady EP. This song reveals Eminem’s great writing skills.
If you ever doubted it, you will realize that Eminem is a great story teller.
Tupac and Swifty introduce us to the song and let us penetrate in a murderer’s sick state of mind that is impersonated by Eminem:
‘All I see is murder murder, my mind state – [2Pac]
Makes it too late for cops in tryin’ to stop the crime rate – [Swift]
All I see is murder murder, my mind state
Murder, murder, murder, and kill, kill, kill!’
Slim Shady is ready to cause some damages to society. He starts murdering a cop and theatens a lady for money. He talks about how money can corrupt a man in a very sarcastic way Slim Shady lovers enjoy very much:
‘See I’m a nice man but money turned me to Satan
I’m thirsty for this green so bad I’m dehydratin’
Hurry up with the cash bitch, I got a ride waitin’
Shot a man twice in the back when he tried escapin”
There’s no happy end for the woman who’s just been carjacked by Slim:
‘Money from the safe in the back, stepped in wavin’ the Mac
Cooperate and we can operate and save an attack
This bitch tried escapin’ the jack
Grabbed her by the throat, it’s murder she wrote
You barely heard a word as she choked
It wasn’t nuttin’ for her to be smoked
But I slammed her on her back ’til her vertebrae broke
Just then the pigs bust in yellin’ “Freeze!”
But I’m already wanted for sellin’ keys
And bunch of other felonies from A to Z like spellin’ bees
So before I dropped to the ground and fell on knees
I bust shots, they bust back
Hit the square in the chest, he wasn’t wearin’ a vest’
The criminal tale goes on in the second verse. No happy ending for the victims and even the bad criminal gets injured in the story.
He’s a wanted man who caused a lot of damages and who eventually surrenders to the cops.
The conclusion is the funniest part, because Eminem rejects any kind of responsibility on music: gangsta rap appears to be the main responsible.
You will enjoy the rythm and the words of ‘Murder Murder’ which picture Eminem’s brilliance very well.
Lyrics
[CHORUS]
All I see is murder murder, my mind state – [2Pac]
Makes it too late for cops in tryin’ to stop the crime rate – [Swift]
All I see is murder murder, my mind state
Murder, murder, murder, and kill, kill, kill!
[2x]
Left the keys in the van, with a gat in each hand
Went up in Eastland and shot a policeman
Fuck a peace plan of citizen bystands
But shit is in my hands, here’s your life span
For what your life’s worth this money is twice than
Grab a couple grand and live a nice land
See I’m a nice man but money turned me to Satan
I’m thirsty for this green so bad I’m dehydratin’
Hurry up with the cash bitch, I got a ride waitin’
Shot a man twice in the back when he tried escapin’
I want the whole pie, I won’t be denied nathan
Maybe I need my head inside straightened
Brain contemplatin’, clean out the register
Dip before somebody catches ya
Or gets ya description an’ sketches ya
The connection was the prime suspect
But I ain’t set to flee the scene of the crime just yet
Cuz I got a daughter to feed
And $200 ain’t enough to water the seed
The best thing would be for me to leave Taco Bell an’ hit up Chess King
And have the lady at the desk bring
Money from the safe in the back, stepped in wavin’ the Mac
Cooperate and we can operate and save an attack
This bitch tried escapin’ the jack
Grabbed her by the throat, it’s murder she wrote
You barely heard a word as she choked
It wasn’t nuttin’ for her to be smoked
But I slammed her on her back ’til her vertebrae broke
Just then the pigs bust in yellin’ “Freeze!”
But I’m already wanted for sellin’ keys
And bunch of other felonies from A to Z like spellin’ bees
So before I dropped to the ground and fell on knees
I bust shots, they bust back
Hit the square in the chest, he wasn’t wearin’ a vest
[CHORUS 2x]
Left the house, pullin’ out the drive backin’ out
Need a backin’ out this lady’s Jag started blackin’ out
Pulled the Mac-10 out, stuck it in her face
Shut ya yackin’ mouth before I blow the brain from out the back ya scalp
Drug her by her hair, smacked her up
Thinkin’ fuck it, mug her while you’re there, jacked her up
Stole her car, made a profit
Grabbed the tape from out the deck and offed it out the window
Like the girl on Set It Off did
Jetted off kid, stole the whip, now I’m a criminal
Drove in thru somebody’s yard, dove into they swimmin’ pool
Climbed out and collapsed on the patio
I made it out alive but I’m injured badly though
Parents screamin’: “Son, go in and call the police
Tell ’em there’s a crazy man disturbing all of the peace!”
Tried to stall him at least long enough to let me leap up
Run in they crib and at least leave with some little cheap stuff
Actin’ like they never seen nobody hit a nick before
Smashed the window, grabbed the Nintendo 64
When they sell out in stores the price triples
I ran up the block jumpin’ kids on tricycles
And colliding with an 80-year old lady with groceries
There goes the cheese, eggs, milk and Post Toasties
Stood up and started to see stars
Too many siren sounds, it seemed like a thousand police cars
Barely escaped, must-a been some dumb luck
Jumped up and climbed the back of a movin’ dump truck
But I think somebody seen me maybe
Plus I lost the damn Nintendo and I must-a dropped the Beanie Baby
Fuck it I give up, I’m surrounded in blue suits
Came out with a white flag hollerin’ “TRUCE TRUCE!”
Surrendered my weapon to cops
Wasn’t me! It was the gangsta rap and the peppermint Schnopps
Slim Shady EP review
Have you ever listened to the Slim Shady EP?
No, not the Slim Shady LP. I mean Eminem’s former 10 tracks EP. If you haven’t, you will be able to listen to it and to download the full EP on the following website:
http://www.stimulate-ldt.com/
The Slim Shady EP is indeed a dope album: major hip hop fans won’t be disappointed by Eminem’s brilliant debut work.
The intro leads you into a world of horrorcore: Eminem gets theatened by the devilish character of Slim Shady who asks him to look into the mirror. A terrorized Eminem is confronted to the ill character who opened the doors to his fame.
Be ready for some great entertainment.
‘Low Down Dirty’ is a well made description of Slim Shady’s dirty world of sex, drugs and violence. The attentive listener will immediatly understand that Slim Shady represents Eminem’s dark side. In fact, Slim Shady is to Eminem what Mr Hyde is to Dr Jekyll, as the lyrics point it out:
‘I’m Dr. Hyde and Mr. Jekyll, disrespectful
Hearing voices in my head while these whispers echo
“Murder Murder Redrum”
If you have watched movies like ‘The Exorcist’ and ‘Amityville’, you will certainly enjoy Eminem’s introduction into Slim Shady’s demonic world.
You will also enjoy Eminem’s ill rhymes and his well made wordplays.
‘Murder Murder’- which was, by the way, praised by the Source Magazine- is one of the best songs of the EP. Don’t miss it.
Tupac is followed by Swifty in the chorus, both artists combined give a particularly interesting dimension to the song. The whole song is great gangsta rap where Eminem appears (you guessed it right) as a bad thug.
Many people focus an interest on Eminem’s best known and most played songs. But it is worth taking a look at his underground work. Major Eminem fans and real hip hop lovers will be amazed by the great quality of Eminem’s earlier Slim Shady EP. My advice: if you haven’t done it yet, check it out!
Detroit DJ Rec
Although he is less known from the public, Mark Claus aka DJ Rec is Eminem’s long term friend. They went to school together. He remembers Debbie Mathers’ ill character and Marshall’s stormy relationship to Kim:
“His mum was screwed up and he didn’t want to be around it. Marshall didn’t
do any drugs or drink. He was just dating Kim off and on and doing the music thing.”
Who is DJ Reck?
Often pictured as ‘Detroit’s best kept secret’, DJ Rec has been collaborating with eminem since 1996. He produced the radio edit of Eminem’s song ‘If I had’. He also produced two other songs from the Slim Shady EP, plus ‘Murder Murder’ that would be featured in Ice Cube’s movie ‘Next Friday’. It is also known that DJ Rec featured many local shows where Eminem performed.
Besides Eminem, DJ Rec has collaborated with D12 members Denaun Porter and Bizarre. He has also worked with Kid Rock, Da Ruckus and many Djs such as DJ Godfather.
