Mr Cliffnote is a Detroit artist who started rapping since the mid 80’s.
Cliffnotes is introduced by some soft keyboard sounds and catchy beats. Mr Cliffnote flows with confidence, showing some real good lyrical agility.
Elevate starts with some energetic guitar sound. Let Mr Cliffnote get political and open your conscience about the government.
Political lies have no chance with Mr Cliffnote. He exposes them all. Mr Bush’s racism is also underlined in the track. Nobody wants to die for Mr Bush’s greedy plans in Iraq. Find the truth and refuse the lies.
Mr Cliffnote has a nice flow delivery on the track. Instrumentally and lyrically, the song is also worth your listen. Engagement is more than a necessity nowadays. Open your eyes and refuse to get abused by politicians. I particularly appreciate the fact that Mr Cliffnote points out how much of the American government’s budget is spent on war, while very few is given to help out victims from New Orleans.
Time to wake up. Elevate your mind.
Get Over Detroit is built on a softer note and introduces you into an all day Detroit ghetto life. You guessed it: life in the Detroit hood is a constant struggle. Violence, guns, kids trying to imitate DMX, and cats trying to make it. Mr Cliffnote describes life in his city very well.
Oh Yea is a nice track with a R’n’B flavor. Enjoy the softness and the harmony of the track.
Mr Cliffnote proudly represents the Detroit hood. Check him out here.

How much of a twat is the guy running this British website?
How much hypocritical can people be? The guy running the following website just came across an Eminem and D12 pic.
Feelings of envy and hatred overwhelmed him and he immediately jumped to conclusions about a group he obviously doesn’t know much about.
So this is how you do? You look at people’s photos and you start hating them for free? How much superficial and hypocritical is that attitude?
Mr « Chav », you are an ignorant and a big hypocrite.
All the bullshit you spread about Marshall Mathers and his fellows from D12 is totally wrong and needs to be addressed.
First of all you judge people’s clothing and you admit not knowing anything about their music. How much fucked up are you?
The pic you are talking about is a promotional pic for D12 World. It is quite normal that the emcee’s gangsta image is reinforced there.
However you better believed the hype is real.
To your info, Eminem doesn’t need to pose on a pic with his D12 fellows to get a « ghetto pass ». Marshall Mathers lived across 8 Mile, on the black side with his mom. There he met his fellows and has been befriended with them since the late 80’s. You’d better get your facts straight, man.
Eminem didn’t work with his fellows to look cool…Em and his D12 fellows are long term friends.
How much do you know about Eminem anyway, huh?
Here we go again with some idiots pulling the race card!
Yea, while looking at this pic I also noticed that Marshall Mathers is white. He can’t change his skin color just to please idiots and two faced people like you. Marshall is a white man who spent most of his time with black folks and who still does. His friends and most of the persons he collaborates with are black. Eminem has never shown anything but love towards black people and black culture. He is indeed one of the richest contributions to hip hop in the latest 90’s.
When Deshaun Holton had the D12 group in mind, nobody knew, Eminem would be the first emcee of the group to blow up.
Ok, non content to spread your ignorant bullshit, you need to bring up your stereotypes against Eminem as a women and gay hater. Inform yourself. About Eminem. About hip hop culture. Then you will be entitled to talk.
Mr « Chav » is running his mouth and shows the reader how much of an asshole he is.
First of all, he doesn’t know anything about Eminem nor about D12.
He is totally ignorant of the context they grew in. Totally ignorant of hip hop history too.
How much bigoted are your own statements? If you think that Eminem and his fellows are all about their « image », why don’t you try to apply the points you mentioned? Befriend with Blacks , fake your accent and make some desperate attempts to rap…
The difference between Eminem and guys like you is precisely that he didn’t fake his friendships with Blacks, nor did he fake his accent. Eminem is the product of his environment, the culture in which he grew up .
Fuck you « Mr Chav ». You managed to prove your readers how much of an ignorant and a twat you actually are.
If you ever stepped into a hood like 8 Mile, I bet your chances of survival would probably tend to zero.
It looks like you can get hated for free on some websites…
I came across a very distasteful article regarding Eminem and D12 recently. It looks like some uninformed people like to spread their nonsense on the net. I am going to address the hypocritical and stereotyped opinions mentioned in this unpleasant article very soon.
I believe in freedom of speech, but maybe some people would look more clever if they opened their mouths after being totally informed on a subject…stay tuned…there is a lot to discuss about ridiculous opinions spread by ignorant player haters…
Next artist from Detroit to be featured on the Eminem blog…
Mr Cliffnote…stay tuned, floks:)
This fake Eminem stole pics from a lookalike
Identity theft is a delict that should be severely punished.
I have met many Eminem impersonators since I became a fan, but this one goes definitely too far.
Not only does this asshole claim to be Marshall Mathers, he also dares to steal photos from a young Eminem lookalike from Sweden, Patrick Wahlsten.
He fools his « victims », going that far to pretend the pics he stole are proof this is Eminem on the web cam.
However our poser is really unlucky I came across his profile, because I will expose his lies publicly.
You want some more proofs? Patrick Wahlsten is a friend of mine. He is featured on my Eminem dedicated website.
Ok, so now I will leave you in front of a choice:
-whether you keep this account and I will inform Patrick Wahlsten about this identity theft within 24 hours and you will take the risk of being sued. No worries: Patrick will win against the liar you are!
-an other option is left to you: cancel your account, motherfucker!
You impersonators want to be Eminem right? Walk a mile in his shoes then and take his pain too, bunch of assholes!
PS:lol the motherfucker changed his profile and set it private…he admitted being 14 years old…now I want him to cancel this account or he HAS to delete Patrick’s pics…you hear me, you worthless cunt???I have emailed Patrick today, so you know that Court action might be taken against you!!!
Eminem makes up with dying mother
(KP International) – Eminem is putting the bad blood he has his with mother, Debbie Nelson, who suffers from terminal cancer, behind him and has reportedly decided to help cover her medical bills.
The Detroit-bred Eminem, aka Marshall Mathers, is already dealing with the death of his best friend, the rapper Proof, and his second divorce from estranged wife Kim Mathers.
The comfort of a boy’s mother may be just what Slim Shady needs to bring him out of the “world of hurt” his friends say he’s in.
“The nightmare Debbie has been going through with her cancer has put everything in perspective,” said a source close to the family, according to Britain’s Sun. “She is very weak and knows the prognosis is bleak. She is desperate to build bridges with her son and put things right before it’s too late. He has recently started helping her financially with her medical bills. They’ve spoken a few times on the phone and now she desperately hopes he will visit her.”
Nelson, who is in stage four of breast cancer, has medical bills totaling more than C$400,000.
16 Bars: a taste of “London talk”
British hip hop doesn’t exactly sound like American hip hop and that’s also what makes it interesting.
Most of you have probably heard of Mike Skinner and Dizzee Rascal. Today, I’d like to introduce you to an interesting underground emcee from London. His name? 16 Bars.
His name gives you a foretaste of what he is all about: 16 Bars is the kind of emcee who flows sick and who made a passion of rhyming.
As his song points it out, he is trying to get noticed. Trying To Get Noticed is introduced by some dynamic electric guitar sounds combined with some catchy beats. 16 Bars will communicate you his enthusiasm for the passion that makes him tick.
The artist from East London has a real nice flow delivery and he uses astute rhymes on his track.
Enjoy 16 Bars’ sick flow and his typical « made in the UK » flavor.
The Journey is another beautifully handled track. Built on keyboard and drum sounds, the rhythmic track will allow you to fully enjoy 16 Bars’ artistic qualities and to travel through his mind.
Nice lyrics and nice flow delivery introduce the listener into 16 Bars’ world. Open your ears and let him tell you about his life.
I recommend you The Journey, because the song is very melodic and will make you feel like a globe trotter on the run.
16 Bars is certainly an interesting artist who is worth your attention. Check him out here.
Coming to you soon…
a taste of UK hip hop…i will review a British rapper, 16 Bars, for you very soon…stay tuned:)
