You Don’t Know: a 50 Cent, Eminem, Ca$his, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo collaboration
Rating: 4 stars
Bursting bombs are brought to you by the Shady Clan and G Unit who united their talents for your ears’ highest pleasure.
Numerous violins, drum beats, synthesizers introduce the listener into an torrid atmosphere. The Shady crew is taking over, ready to tear up the whole place.
Hustling, pimping the rap game as always, 50 Cent opens the hostilities with a good dose of offensiveness. He is followed by Eminem whose brilliant vocal performance I would like to point out. The rap master flows with an amazing dexterity, juggling with words and igniting the passion.
Cashis, Shady Records’ new member, manages to add a dark gangsta atmosphere to the track.
I haven’t heard Eminem in such a good performance probably for months, fans can be proud of him and I personally give him lots of credits for keeping the passion for emceeing alive after all he went through during the past months.
Globally, the song is well done. Rhythm, flow, instrumentals and vocals are intelligently handled. 50 and his crew did a good job on the song.
I haven’t heard Eminem in such a good performance probably for months, fans can be proud of him and I personally give him lots of credits for keeping the passion for emceeing alive after all he went through during the past months.
However, I think it would be honest to point out a few weaknesses, like the super commercial dimension of the song that appears much more as a club song that as pure gangsta rap; the main theme is focused on the appeal of the dollar. The lyrics didn’t impress me that much, also.
This, however, is a small criticism beside the explosive dimension of a track that allies a good combination of Shady Records talents.

5 ELA interview
1) How did you come up with the name 5ELA?
WELL IT’S ACTUALLY 5 ELEMENTZ AND MY BOY IQ STARTED CALLING US 5 ELA. 5 ELEMENTZ JUST REPRESENTS THE 5 DIFFERENT CHANGES WE WENT THRU AS A GROUP.
2) Not everybody is aware of it, but RIP Big Proof was a full member of 5ELA. How did you guys meet and decide to collaborate with each other?
WHEN I ABOUT 15 I HAD A DJ NAMED DJ KEVO AND HE WORKED WITH BOTH OF US PROOF AND MYSELF BUT PROOF AND I HAD NEVER MET. ONE NIGHT I WAS DOING SOMETHING THAT I SHOULD’NT HAVE BEEN DOING. THE NEXT MORNING KEVO CAME TO PICK ME UP FROM SOME YOUNG LADIES HOME AND HE HAD PROOF WITH HIM (MAXIMUM AT THE TIME) AND MAX HAD TOOTHBRUSH MOUTHWASH AND OTHR STUFF FOR ME. HE SAID HE’S IN THAT SITUATION ALOT. WE’RE KIDS SPENDING THE NIGHT OVER GROWN LADIES HOUSES! SO, KEVO INTRODUCES US THEN SAID THAT THERE IS THIS TALENT CONTEST HE WANTS TO ENTER US IN. WE DECIDED TO DO IT AS AGROUP AND NOT SOLO. THE REST IS HISTORY. WE ADDED MUDD ABOUT A YEAR LATER.

PROOF , MUDD AND MY FAMILY.

NO PATICULAR ACCOMPLISHMENT. I CAN SAY THAT TO BE VEIWED BY ALOT OF PEOPLE AS LEGENDS IS SOMETIMES OVERWHELMING. WE HAVE RESPECT IN DETROIT! WE WANT THE WORLD!
5) Rhymes and verbal dexterity do matter to you, as the music tends to fully prove it. Could you take us back to the years of the Hip Hop Shop and St Andrews and tell us a little bit about the rap battles and challenges that took place in the 90’s in Detroit?
THOSE PLACES TURNED OUT SOME OF THE BEST MC’S IN THE WORLD IF YOU’VE HEARD OF THEM OR NOT. THAT’S ALL IM GOING TO SAY ABOUT THAT.
6) What defines your music best?
FREEDOM!

Royce da 5.9 sentenced to a year in prison (All Hip Hop Com)
Rapper Royce ‘Royce Da 5’9’ Montgomery has been sentenced to serve one year in jail for violating his probation, stemming from a driving under the influence charge.
Sources close to Royce told AllHipHop.com that the rapper was arrested and charged with DUI over the summer, in Oakland County, MI, the Detroit suburb where the rapper resides.
“The actual situation was the DUI, but because he lives in the suburbs, you know how that goes,” a source close to Royce told AllHipHop.com. “The probation people recommended that he do 30 days, but the judge was like “no.” Normally the judge takes the probation people’s recommendations, but they sentenced him to a year because they wanted him to think about it.”
Royce, who is CEO of M.I.C. Records, was planning to release The Movement Mixtape with Detroit’s DJ Butter and he was also working on a new album with DJ Premiere.
According to sources, Royce may still have the option to appeal the sentence, which his immediate associates believe was harsh.
“He may be able to appeal it,” the source said. “I think they are really making examples out of people. He didn’t even blow that much over. It wasn’t like he was drunk and he hit someone – he was driving home at 4 in the morning. It’s never like this in the city of Detroit, or in Wayne County.”
Representatives for the rapper are asking fans to support the rapper, who leaves behind a family. Free Royce t-shirts are currently being made for supporters.
Fans of Royce can write him in prison:

Watch Out: an explosive Immortal Technique/DJ Green Lantern collaboration
Average rating: 4.5 stars
If some people cannot stomach a brilliant emcee like Immortal Technique, it is because the emcee doesn’t shy away from the truth. Immortal Technique doesn’t make any compromise with corrupt politicians. He also refuses to enter into big commercial labels’ hypocritical game.
Immortal Technique goes straight to the goal and shows the awful truth in its nudity.
Synthesizers, organs and violins introduce you into a harsh and unsafe atmosphere while Immortal Technique throws his explosive lyrics at the major label’s and hip hop magazines’ heads.
Lyrical bullets right into your chest, you phonies:
« One hundred percent independent I’m the fucking boss
The only unsigned nigga with a quotable in “The Sourceâ€
The hood is not stupid we know the mathematics
I make double what I would going Gold on Atlantic
‘Cause E.M.I., Sony, B.M.G, Interscope
Would never sign a rapper with the White House in a scope… »
Pop music is being used as an opium that will keep people’s consciences asleep. But when somebody directly targets the White House and doesn’t want to satisfy the music industry’s demand for some commercial bullshit, he instantly becomes a persona non grata.
Immortal Technique is not a man of compromises. Whether you are ready to accept the truth in its nudity or not, things are what they are.
The talented emcee who allies verbal dexterity with the spirit of a rebel points the finger at the numerous hidden governmental drug traffics.
The US government that has made a lot of money, allowing cocaine and other hard drugs to enter into their territory. Tell me, where does the paradox lie when you perfectly know that the same government blames the hoods for their drug use, abuse and deals?
People who strongly analyze the situation will understand that Bush is closer to Satan than to a savior.
You can make the choice to cowardly close your mouth while a greedy government manipulates simple citizens like toy soldiers or you can courageously stand up and reveal people commercial phoniness and governmental dirty and greedy politics like Immortal Technique.
Globally, the song is well handled lyrically and it fully enlightens DJ Green Lantern’s talent.
The song is a must hear. Cop it from here.
