Picture Akon into his favorite role, the role of a convict. Unlike many prisoners, Akon seems to know how to organize his time and how to rejoice in a place that depresses so many people. Yes, you guessed it right: the music means everything to him. Watch Akon sing the Smack That melody while clapping in his hands:
« Smack that, all on the floor,
smack that, give me some more,
smack that, ’till you get sore
smack that, oooh.
smack that, all on the floor,
smack that, give me some more,
smack that, ’till you get sore,
smack that, oooh. »
A police officer interrupts Akon while singing, asking him to help him out in finding a witness.
Meet Akon at the club while some gogo dancers check their asses. Akon is in search for a specific dancer:
« Up front style. Ready to attack now.
Pull in the parking lot slow with the lack down.
Convicts got the whole thing packed down.
Step in the club. The wardrobe intact now.
I feel it. Go on and crack now.
Ooh, I see it. Don’t let back now.
Im’a call her. Then I put the mack down.
Money? No problem. Pocket full of that now.
I feel you creepin’, I can see you from my shadow.
Wanna jump up in my Lamborghini Gallardo.
Maybe go to my place and just kick it, like Taebo.
And possibly bend you over.
Look back and watch me
smack that, all on the floor,
smack that, give me some more,
smack that, ’till you get sore
smack that, oooh.
smack that, all on the floor,
smack that, give me some more »
Meet his accomplice Slim Shady at the club, enjoying the crazy « big booty shake » in a festive atmosphere:
« Eminem’s rollin’, D an’ them rollin’.
Boo an’ Oh Marvelous an’ them rollin’.
Women just hoin’.
Big booty rollin’.
Soon I be all in them an’ throwin D.
Hittin’ no less than 3.
Block will style like wee, wee.
Girl, I can tell you want me, ’cause lately. »
Akon’s vocal performance during the whole video is smashing. He appears into the role of a seducer. Eminem makes a short appearance on the video, nicely dressed in urban clothes and flows with ease on a nice beat.
However , I am a little bit disappointed by the main line of the story that lacks a little bit creativity as far as I am concerned. Also, as I stated it several times, I don’t think that Eminem really fits into « club songs ». Some of you readers might disagree with me, but those of you who followed Marshall Mathers’ career since his early beginnings know that he can do much more better than that.
Globally, the video is average. Akons voice makes the song pleasurable, though. I gave it an average rating of 3 stars.

Excellent review Isabelle…i agree with you, on Em doing club songs…he can do much better.
Akon’s “Smack That” is my favorite all time song. Every time it comes on I freak out and I have to turn it all the way up. I love that song and they need to stop editing out the parts in the song. The song is fine the way it is. They need to play it on the radio more often.
i am one of your biggest fan.
who is that tall blonde dancer in the black bottoms(boy shorts)…..whats her name?
I have to agree that this song is average. But i have to disagree that this song is good, or even near it. “Kicking it like Tae-Bo?” “I See YOU Creeping From MY Shadow?” at this point im just confused, and a little scared. This song lacks so much creativity that its retarded. Im sorry for the harsh words but im not impressed one bit. Sorry for the inconvienence.
anybody is entitled to his/her opinion lol
yes what is the blondes name in the video with the black boy shorts on??
I think its Nikki Hilton!
