Music is like chemistry, it is all about finding out the right chemistry…

People who work in catering jobs will probably confirm it: a delicious and tasteful dish often depends on a proper mixing and choice of the ingredients.
The kind of ingredients we choose to make our dish, a subtle calculation of the amounts of food, the specific spices we add will determine color, taste, smell and the aspect of our dish.
With the same ingredients, two individuals can make either a crappy, disgusting plate or a subtle, aromatic and delicious dish. The cook s know how, his personality, his creativity will play a determinant role in composing an unforgettable plate of tasteful food that will make the customer come back and order it over and over again.
The same rules apply to the artistic world. Many people claim to be artists or musicians. Many of them have a swollen ego and pretend to be the bests on their local scene. Many of them pretend to have a unique style, but when you look at it closer, you will notice that they often bite other artists style.
In the very diverse world of rap music, so many emcees sound the same. There are armies of new Jay Z s, Eminem s, Westcoast imitators etc, all using overwritten themes in order to play it cool.
If you had no other choice than eating couscous during 30 days, wouldn t you like to eat something else as soon as the 30 days were over? I assume you would.
The selective listener wants to taste something unique, a music that talks to his 6th senses. Yes, the listener wants to eat a delightful and perfumed dish , which will allow him/ her to appreciate the subtle sound texture, a good beats quality, a flow that will run faster than light speed, creative lyrics and an innovative way of expression.
After a hard day of work, the listener wants to escape from his monotonous world. His always curious mind wants to explore new worlds of sensations and ignore time and space while enjoying the music to the fullest. Your music is his relaxation dream island, a unique moment during which you and him share this very specific communion between ear and sound.
Artists, don t forget that the listener is like a customer in a shop. New smells and new colors are more likely to catch his eyes and nose than the same old stuff he sees day after day, week after week.
Don t sound like everybody else: be unique, original, creative. Try to create that relationship with the listener that will make him recognize you at first sight because your voice is special, your style and the beats are a unique composition of yours.
Of course, it requires more intensive efforts, but it is really worth it in the end. You don t wanna be the next Jay Z, do you?
Go to the lab, put your colorful and spicy ingredients together and be the mad chemist that will enchant our ears for years. You can be that person if you really want to!

ElpaDrino, an original taste of Detroit hip hop

ElpaDrino is a Detroit underground emcee who deserves to be discovered. The talented emcee is rich of a confident attitude. ElpaDrino is very passionate when it comes to rhyme. His good beats, the original texture of his sounds, his creative lyrics will make the listener feel what the artist is all about.
In Now You Know, ElpaDrino will teach you how to rhyme properly. The song introduces you into the dark Murda Mitten atmosphere that is strongly suggested by the numerous violins, the hammering drum beats and keyboard sounds. ElpaDrino is killing his unskilled enemies with his sharp rhymes and his offensive attitude. The skilled emcees leaves no place for disrespect. His verbal weapons and his subtle instrumental chemistry will certainly conquer an enthusiastic hip hop loving audience. I recommend you the song.
Soft piano and violin sounds introduce The Greatest that gradually augments in intensity. ElpaDrino literally puts his soul to the ink. You can feel the passion in each word, each syllable. ElpaDrino is a man of conviction who lives for his art.
Rap To Me has some beautiful, swinging blues accents. ElpaDrino s stormy flow will take the listener by surprise and take him to a hot battling atmosphere.

Make It Rain/ Boo featuring Jazze Pha/ Song review

Rating of the product: 4 stars
When the weather forecast announces heavy rain showers, it usually puts a lot of people down. It looks like weather influences people s moods heavily. Never mind. You can either choose to be singing in the rain like Gene Kelly or be drowning in your sorrow while drops of rain pour down the soil.
Rain, however, is considered as a symbol of prosperity in many civilizations. The Hebrew word for rain is geshem, which includes God ‘s unnamable name Ha Shem, The Name.
While depressive people look at the rain as a negative element, one should envision that rain fertilizes our soil and allows plants and vegetables to grow.
Boo and Jazze Pha are determined to bring you some prosperous drops of rain in order to bring your thirsty mind some relief.
Good beats, an energetic hustling spirit, various keyboard sounds, Jazze Pha s optimistic spirit, a windy flow delivery from both sides will get the listener caught into a verbal thunderstorm.
I think that most of you will enjoy and appreciate the rainy song! Check it out here.

Gunz'N Butta, a soft-explosive DJ Butta-Wesley Valentine collaboration

Global rating of the product:3.75 stars
The Detroit underground scene is pretty much alive at the moment. New boiling projects are currently in the making. One of them, an exclusive Crazy Noise Records production, Gunz N Butta features two eminent artists from the Detroit scene, Barry Yett also known as DJ Butter and Wesley Valentine, who is truly an artist of exception.
Both talented men will certainly amaze their listeners.
Everywhere We Go is bringing some heat into the rough Detroit hood. Strong, dark and various instrumentals totally fit into the overheated context. Electric guitar notes, violins, flute and keyboard sounds suggest that the skilled artist are taking over in a total thuggish atmosphere.
The song is rhythmic, well written and totally spiced up. Hip Hop lovers should definitely love it.
Last Night is introduced by a few DJ Butter shouts out. Catchy drum beats are combined with a quite funky, relaxing atmosphere. Wesley Valentine has a nice flow delivery. Female vocals fully enhance the party atmosphere. The song is certainly your ideal club hit.
I didn t like the Promise Remix featuring Wesley Valentine and R Kelly. I am not really an R Kelly fan and the flooding of filthy details combined with the R’n’B style is not my cup of tea. I am not into such kind of songs.
Electric Guitars will reinforce We Are s rock flavor. Wesley Valentine shows some good verbal skills on the song. The row, Rock City atmosphere of the song is highly enjoyable as far I am concerned. Rock and rap mix up well on the track. Well done, Rock City boys!

Eminem not engaged to Kim Mathers again

The rapper and his ex are not going to give marriage a third shot, his rep says
Feb 06, 2007 05:40PM EST
Kevin Mazur
Don’t believe a report that Eminem is engaged to Kim Mathers a third time.
Britain’s Mirror tabloid reported Tuesday that rapper Akon, who duets with Eminem on “Smack That,” said of Slim Shady and his ex: “He can’t live with her, and he can’t live without her. But they are meant for each other. They are engaged again.”
But Dennis Dennehy, a rep for Eminem, tells PEOPLE: “Those reports are absolutely untrue.”
Eminem (real name: Marshall Mathers), 34, and the former Kim Scott, 32, first wed in 1999 and divorced two years later. They have a daughter, Hailie Jade, 11.
The couple were estranged for years, but remarried in January 2006, only to split again less than three months later.
On an episode of ABC’s 20/20 that aired Friday, Kim Mathers told correspondent JuJu Chang: “Money is great, but it doesn’t make your husband stay at home with you. Or sleep in the same bed with you. Him being on the road and on tour – that was like the big one. I mean, constant infidelities, all the time.”
Through a spokesperson, Eminem said in a statement to 20/20: “For the sake of our children that we raise together, I have made a decision to not participate in matters such as this.”

T-Bro interview

1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your background?
I was born in Newark New Jersey and raised in Fayetteville North Carolina.
My parents broke up when I was three. I grew up with my older sister and my dad.
2.) What or who motivated you to become a rapper?
The love of music. I’ve been into rap every since it first came out with the Sugar Hill Gang…
3.) Making it in the music business is a lot of hard work. What’s the biggest challenge you had to face?
Figuring out a way to get heard without becoming part of a clit or
paying aradio station Dj. The music industry is very crooked now days… so you haveto find your own ways to get heard.
4.) Which artist, were you most pleased to work with and why?
I haven’t worked with too many artists because I want to come out and show Ican make nice music on my own…I will do more collaborating on my secondalbum. I did enjoy working with Crouch and Keroin.
5.) What motivated you to collaborate?
They were talented rappers and I knew we would sound good together. Also they were soldiers like myself so we had something in common.
6.) Which accomplishment are you the most proud of?
Working hard enough to get my name buzzing enough to know that other popular rappers, professional athletes, and people from across the globe finally know who I am.
7.) Which artist haven’t you collaborated with yet, that you envision to work with in a close future and why?
Petey Pablo. Because he is the first rapper from my state to make it in the music industry. I want to work with him just to show my appreciation for him opening the door for artists from N.C.
8.) As a rapper, is there one rapper you pattern yourself after or do you have your own style?
No. I have my own style. Of course I have influences…but I sound like one rapper…T-Bro.
9.) Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years (believe it or not) I see myself being a established rap artists in the hip hop world, with his own record label, a few artists that I’ve signed.
10.) What is your thoughts on the underground Hip Hop scene and where do you see it going in the near future?
I think the underground hip hop scene is better than the main stream. The artists are hungry so I think you can hear some of the best rap songs from underground artists and producers. I only think it will continue to get better because unsigned artists will always be the hungriest.
11.) What is your thoughts on today’s mainstream Hip Hop artists and where do you see them taking Hip Hop, in the near future?
Well I don’t condem every song I hear on the radio there is no doubt about that. I think hip hop is going in the wrong direction that’s why I am anxious to get my foot in the door so I can try to help turn this thing around.
12.) If you could thank one person, for helping get you where you aretoday…Who would it be and why?
I would have to thank my friend Demetreas. He has been there for me spiritually and emotionally. He’s helped me stay focus from day one.
13.) How much time daily, do you spend in the studio and what does an average day consist of?
Well I wish I could be in the studio everyday but that is not possible for me. If I had my own studio I’m sure I would. I write on a regular basis…but not everyday. I write when a topic comes to me. Once I come up with my hook…it’s a wrap!
14.) Being so busy, you rarely get free time. Tell me what you did the last time, you had free time to just hang out?
When I’m not writing a new song, I’m either promoting, performing, or making a new beat on the computer. Oh yeah, I recently went to a NBA game and sawmy Bobcats get smoked! Lol I’m a season ticket holder so I go to every game.
(We did sweep the L.A. Lakers and beat them in a triple over time game
though…so we aren’t that bad.)
15.) Do you ever struggle creating new idea’s?
NEVER. Creativity is my specialty. (did you check out my myspace page?
Lol)
16.) Being a journalist, it was hard to have your talents reconized.
Have either of you ever experienced that and how?
Well not really. It has been hard to have them complimented at
times…but ifyou really have talent, (to me) it has to be recognized.
17.) If I had to describe myself, I would say…I’m a leader not a
follower. How would you best describe yourself?
You just described me for me lol. I’ve been a leader since I was in High school, my fathers business, the U.S. Army, and have never looked back since!
18.) If you could invite anyone to dinner tonight–dead or alive–who
wouldit be and why?
I would have to say 2pac. Not for the same reason a lot of others might would. I would invite him because I looked at him beyond his music andrealized this was a very deep intelligent man. Those are the type of people I like being around.
19.) Do you have any projects in the works, for 2007?
My debut album T-Browisdom Inner Truth will be released on May 3rd 2007. Ifyou want to hear something new and refreshing…some rap music that actually might get your full attention…GO GET THE ALBUM!
